Well,Well, Well . . .
This week, we open the book of Genesis to hear how Isaac faced a challenging situation while living in the land of the Philistines during a time of famine. God had blessed Isaac’s crops and he was able to water his crops with the water from his wells.
Things were going pretty well for him until some of the people living nearby became jealous that Isaac had clean water and enough food to eat. So they filled his wells with DIRT! Isaac had a choice: get even or keep the peace. Join us for our story to hear the rest of the story!
We can show we care about others by walking away from a fight. Talk to your kids about a time when you needed to walk away from an argument. Ask: How do you walk away from a fight? Share some ideas to help your kids know when it’s time to walk away from an argument. If you have more than one child under your roof, chances are they get into fights. Check out some ideas to help with Sibling Warfare. During dinner tonight, take turns speaking something peaceful and caring to each other. Pass the peace to each member of your family!_… _ At bedtime, read our Bible story in Genesis 26:1-22; 26-31. Pray that God will show you this week when to care about others by walking away from a fight.
