Family Service Project: Fill Our Community with Good

October 23 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

This event is for youth ages 13 — 19 and their parents or guardians.

Together we will build interfaith holiday symbols (Diwali lamps, Hanukkah menorahs, and Christmas trees) with positive messages to be placed around the community to spread cheer and unity. Adults with craftsmanship experience, especially power tools and sanding, are encouraged to attend.

What to wear:

  • Clothing that won’t be devastated by dirt, paint, or holes.
  • Closed-toe shoes or boots. Please no flip flops or sandals.
  • A face mask.
  • Eye protection and work gloves, if you prefer your own. Otherwise, will be provided on site.

What to pack:

  • Lunch and a water bottle. Water can be refilled on-site
  • A warm layer and hat, if needed.

Hosted by the Douglas County Healthy Youth Coalition (DCHYC).

To RSVP, please email Curtis Hanock of DCHYC or call (720) 682-5283.
