June 26-July 31
There was a time when we knew our neighbors—their names, their stories, their hopes and dreams, their aches and awes. We shared meals with them. We shared our lives with them. We shared a deep commitment to the common good with them.
But in an age of increasing isolation, division, and indifference, that time has largely come and gone. We scarcely know our neighbors.
Many young people report feeling alone, misunderstood, a lack of belonging, and/or intense pressure to succeed. Let’s change that through connection and compassion.
Starting June 26, the Wellbeing Initiative is handing out popcorn packets to share with neighbors and promote social connectedness in our community.
If you would like to pick up a few packets for your neighbors, please contact Bridget Beatty at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can find them after services every Sunday from June 26-July 31.
